SOUTH MONTROSE, Pa. Softball enthusiasts in Susquehanna County played through the night and are still playing in a non-stop weekend-long tournament near Montrose.
It may sound like a crazy idea, but the teams say it s the least they could in memory of the local farmer. The community here is small, but it s tight-knit, said Kalena Williams, Julian s cousin.
Family and friends of Julian Williams say this is the way he d want his life to celebrated. We re having a good ol ball game but we re just celebrating his life in the best way we can and we just wish he could be here today. Just celebrating him, said Maddie Newhart, Julian s sister.
