Brookland High School is getting set to host the 4A-East Regional baseball tournament beginning Thursday morning, and the host Bearcats are the number two seed from the 3AAAA Conference. Brookland finished in a three-way tie for the league title with Valley View and Pocahontas, missing the top seed by just one run after splitting doubleheaders against the Blazers and Redskins. Bearcats head coach Bill Taylor visited the First National Bank High School Coaches’ Corner on “The Drive with Brad Bobo” on Wednesday to preview the tournament, and to cheer on the Baltimore Orioles no-hitter in Seattle.
