AtikuTributes, yesterday, poured in for the legendary talk show host and former CNN interviewer, Larry King, who died in the early hours of Saturday, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he was hospitalised.
His death is coming five months after his two children died within weeks of each other. His son, 65-year-old Andy King, passed away of a heart attack in late July, followed by his 52-year-old daughter, Chaia King, who died in August shortly after being diagnosed with lung cancer. x
Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, in a tweet on his verified twitter handle shortly after King’s passage wrote: “Larry King was indeed the king of broadcasting. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. May his soul rest in peace.”

Larry King built an iconic career interviewing celebrities and newsmakers and many of them paid tribute to the broadcasting legend following his death.
Former President Bill Clinton said he was interviewed by King more than 20 times and remembered him as having “a great sense of humor and a genuine interest in people.”
Singer and actress Bette Midler said King was “a great interviewer and a great listener.”
“He always made me feel as though I were the only person in the room,” Midler added.
Actress and producer Reese Witherspoon recalled being “lucky enough to be interviewed by him and see his unique interview style first hand.”

With his trademark suspenders and deep baritone voice Larry King spoke with presidents, world leaders, celebrities, authors, scientists, comedians, athletes — everyone. The Peabody Award-winning broadcaster died Saturday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He was 87.
"For 63 years and across the platforms of radio, television and digital media, Larry's many thousands of interviews, awards, and global acclaim stand as a testament to his unique and lasting talent as a broadcaster," the statement read. "Additionally, while it was his name appearing in the shows' titles, Larry always viewed his interview subjects as the true star of his programs, and himself as merely an unbiased conduit between the guest and audience."
