The matriarch of an incredibly entrepreneurial family that has made an enormous contribution to business and community life in Killarney over many years has been awarded the highest honour the town can bestow.
As well as the Gleneagle, the O Donoghue family has also developed the Brehon Hotel, Killarney s Scott’s Hotel, The Maritime Hotel in Bantry and several other tourism properties
A woman who has been to the forefront of the tourism industry throughout her life is to be inducted into the Order of Inisfallen – the highest honour the town of Killarney can bestow.
