Still flush from its BAFTA success -- the delightful Sackboy: A Big Adventure secured not one but two awards at last month's BAFTA Game Awards -- Sumo Group believes it walks the walk when it comes to honouring its commitments.
"We've got a saying at Sumo: we're only as good as the last game we make," Sumo Group's CEO, Carl Cavers -- an industry veteran who founded Sumo with three partner founders back in 2003 -- told us during our recent GI Live Online event. The news was revealed during GI Live: Online in a keynote talk featuring Hakan Abrak, the CEO of IO Interactive. The Barcelona office is described as an 'elite' studio and joins the company's teams in Copenhagen and Malmö.
"After the [Hitman] trilogy, it's safe to say that Agent 47 needs a bit of a breather. He needs a break," Abrak revealed in a video interview with
GamesIndustry.biz. "But that doesn't mean things aren't happening in the World of Assassination. We have some pretty cool ideas that we're looking into, and some of those will bear fruit. You'll seem some development there that's a bit different.
