IRELAND's Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan has returned to work after taking time off due to his wife's passing.
Dr Emer Holohan passed away in February after a long illness.

She was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a form of blood cancer, in 2012.
CMO'S RETURN
The Department of Health told the Irish Sun: "We can confirm that Dr Holohan returned to work yesterday."
Holohan returned to work on Monday and is expected to gradually resume public appearances.
Throughout the pandemic, the State's Chief Medical Officer became a household name and the face of Ireland's fight against Covid-19.
His Deputy, Dr Ronan Glynn took the position of acting Chief Medical Office during Dr Holohan's break.
