Granite City man charged with aggravated stalking

EDWARDSVILLE A Granite City man was charged with felony stalking after multiple violations of a no contact order.
Thomas L. Bamford III, 44, of Granite City, was charged May 26 with aggravated stalking, a Class 3 felony.
The case was presented by the Granite City Police Department.
According to court records, between March 1, 2020 and May 25, 2021, Bamford allegedly violated a no contact order filed in Madison County.
Records show six separate incidents, ranging from him standing within 500 feet of the residence, entering the residence’s driveway, using a ladder to view into the residence, leaving Victoria Secret items at the home, and “violently” screaming and yelling while banging on the doors and windows of the residence.

EDWARDSVILLE A 19-year-old Alton man was charged with obstruction of justice for attempting to hide a weapon allegedly used in a murder May 2.
Scottie M. Musgraves, 19, of the 1200 block of State Street, Alton, was charged May 11 with obstructing justice, a Class 4 felony. The charge had been sealed until Monday.
Musgraves is accused of concealing a .40 caliber handgun used in the murder of DeAndre Brewster, in Alton, on May 2. A 17-year-old Granite City youth, Chance L. Singleton, has been charged as an adult in the murder.
