News 4s molette green is live outside fairfax. Reporter just within the last 30 minutes we learned the name of the 18yearold young woman who died last night. Fairfax county Police Identify her as erika dunn of springfield. She was struck by a train last night just past 9 30 in the 9500 block of berk road in berk. She was with two friends when she was struck. Their investigation determined that there were Three Friends walking near the tracks, a train approached. Two of the friends moved away from the tracks. When they went back to find their other friend they found her injured. Reporter now, police say the two other friends stayed with the victims side to provide some aid and also called police but erika dunn later died at the hospital. Now, this isnt uncommon for folks to try to walk along the tracks. Our iteam in fact found about 29 train accidents involving trespassers over the last two years in virginia. Memorial thats growing for the firefighters who lost their lives. They were taken to their respective Funeral Homes we saw a huge showing of solidarity in this community. If there was a firefighter or Law Enforcement officer able to make it they were in wilmington this morning. Hundreds gathered to line the streets and salute two heros who lost their lives. Wilmington lieutenant Christopher Leach and senior firefighter jerry fickes were taken to their respective Funeral Homes. It was quiet as they were moved. Its a community thats deeply hurting right now. The two men lost their lives as a result of the fire that ignited on lake view road.
