Cllr Ian Cockburn: Positive budget.
A SENIOR Ross-shire councillor has hailed the cross-party cooperation on a positive budget set to be unveiled by Highland Council on Thursday.
Councillor Ian Cockburn, who chairs the Wester Ross, Strathpeffer and Lochalsh area committee of Highland Council, said the unprecedented collaboration between the SNP group and independent-led administration had resulted in a strong budget.
Cllr Cockburn was also quick to point to the Scottish Government budget settlement which he said offsets the council s Covid resilience spending.
