From National Weather Service: At 2:44 p.m., a radar-confirmed large and extremely dangerous tornado was located 6 miles northeast of Abbeville, or 4 miles southwest ofHodges, moving east at 35 mph. From National Weather Service: At 2:09 p.m., a radar-confirmed tornado 13 miles northeast of Elberton or near Lowndesville in Abbeville County. Abbeville County schools holding all students in place until threat ends.2:35 p.m. from Greenwood County School District 50: Our area is currently under a tornado warning. All of our students and staff are safe and taking shelter inside our schools. This will impact dismissal times later this afternoon. We will provide more updates as we receive them.
