well, good wednesday morning, everyone. we begin with that explosive dash cam video from the arrest of sandra bland. a heated confrontation just days before she was found dead in a texas jail cell. at a memorial service last night, bland s mother told the crowd her daughter went to texas because she thought she d found her calling. she wanted to try to stop all social injustice in the south. but this morning that dramatic video showing her standing up to a state trooper as a routine traffic stop spins out of control. do you mind putting out your cigarette, please? i m in my car. why do i have to put out my cigarette? reporter: what started off as a traffic stop for failing to signal a lane change escalated in minutes. get out of the car now, or i m going to remove you and i m calling. i ll yank you out of here. okay. you re going to yank me out of my car? don t touch me. get out of the car. get me out of my own car. get out of the car. i will light you
leon: thank you. leon: tonight a break in the case after two security guards shot in oxand hill. brad bell has been digging in the investigation for us. the new details are just coming out from police. what are you hearing? brad: terrible story. security guards shot, one killed. what police tell us now they have found the car they believe was used by the gunman. a car like this one. a 2012 dodge charger. we can give you particulars on it. 2012 dodge charger, black, in color. it was found to be holding temporary paper tags. found on 45th street in northeast washington. not far from the aquatic garden. this crime happened early friday morning. two security guards were working and in the personal cars, central garden apartment complex off of 214 in capital heights when the gunmen approached. opened fire. one of the men was killed. 26-year-old adrian kennar. he wanted to be a police officer. and one of the reasons why. we spoke to him in 2012 when his own brother was murdered. at
in foggy bottom. right now two suspects in custody after an officer involved shooting. police say it started as a stolen car investigation. reporter: just before 4:00 a.m., shots fired. incident, fired shots. searching on foggy bottom campus. reporter: that text sent out to students. i was asleep and checked my phone and saw my phone. reporter: hours into the morning rush this student passed by an active crime scene on her way to class. at the center of it a red ford with the car doors open. investigators dusted for fingerprints and collected evidence at the scene where police say the suspects bailed out of the car. it s unclear exactly what prompted the officer to fire his weapon but no one was struck. crime scene tape an an officer posted turned away pedestrians and car traffic. an alarming start to the day for many in this part of town. pretty scary. reporter: it s possible there is a second car involved in the stolen car investigation. that part of the story
