Q4 2020 and Full-Year 2020 Financial Performance Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba) (Ticker Code: ALBH), the world's largest aluminium smelter w/o China, has reported a Profit of BD32 million (US$85.1 million) for the fourth quarter of 2020, up by 132% Year-over-Year (YoY) versus a Profit of BD13.8 million (US$36.7 million) for the same period in 2019. The Company reported Basic and Diluted Earnings per Share of fils 23 for Q4 2020 versus Basic and Diluted Earnings per Share of fils 10 for the same period in 2019. The Total Comprehensive Income for Q4 2020 stood at BD32.9 million (US$87.7 million) versus Total Comprehensive Income for the fourth quarter of 2019 of BD13.8 million (US$36.7 million) - up by 138% YoY. Gross Profit for the fourth quarter of 2020 was BD60.1 million (US$159.9 million) versus BD44.8 million (US$119.1 million) in Q4 2019 - up by 34% YoY.

Bahrain Defence Force personnel are the “protective shield of the nation, and are always a source of pride of everyone,” said His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa yesterday marking the BDF’s 53rd anniversary.

Dr Farida Al Hosani, a federal health spokeswoman, gave her assessment at an online debate on Tuesday night.

"We could see the level of acceptance from the beginning was good – higher than expected."
As of February 1, just under 35 doses had been administered for every 100 people – second only to Israel with 57.6 and followed by the UK at 14.4 and Bahrain at 9.6 doses per 100 people.

Dubai, Feb 3 : The UAE is building up its capacity to manufacture the Covid-19 vaccine in the future, and the country's position is to provide as much support as it can to the international community, said Farida Al Hosani, official spokesperson for the UAE health sector.
"There has been a lot of expectation from the UAE of different stakeholders. Our leadership position is to provide as much support to international community. However, we are not a vaccine manufacturer and we are building up capacity for future manufacturing of Covid-19 vaccine as well," Al Hosani said during a panel discussion on Tuesday.
