Driver lost control of the vehicle and did crash the suspect got out of the vehicle. The suspect during that run turn and presented a firearm as though the officers and perceiving that threat for their lives, the officers fired at the suspectnd the two that went into the home one was detained and three people were also detained at the home. Right. There is an on going investigation at that home. Three people in the Home Invasion are now being detained for a separate investigation. When they put those spike not only to the community, but our officers and the suspects. One is to preposition those tire spikes. What is next . We have three scenes we are looking at. From a collision in september. No word on whether or not she was intoxicated. In the east bay there is going concern up another shooting a long i80 and richmond. Alex savidge reports. Reporter drivers we talked to are generally concerned about what is going on. The latest car to car shooting happened here along this stretch of i80 near this road on the eastbound lanes of the freeway at 8 30 on sunday night. The good news is nobody was hurt. Authorities say a minivan pulled alongside a taxi carrying two passengers at the time. Somebody opened fire on the taxi. The taxi driver then pulled off of the freeway into a parking lot were those passengers then ran off before police could get there. This was the 17th car to car shooting since late last year. Two people have been killed. Authorities believe the victims have been targeted as part of a gang feud. The ongoing violence has many drivers on edge. It is really concerning because i do drive every day. And i cross that little section where
Reporter police say they were called to the area saturday night, but officers didnt see the graffiti until the School District called monday. We saw officers in the neighborhood today. Investigators say there are few leads right now. This is very, very disturbing not only for the Police Department here but for this community in general. What was written on the doors here is not what represents the city of san leandro. Reporter the School District issued a statement saying it takes hateful messages very seriously. Police say theyre unaware of any racial tensions in town. We need to get to the bottom of this to ensure safety of everybody in the community. Police have not revealed a motive for the fouv message. Were looking at some slow traffic and going to start off with a look at our live Camera Network pictures. Looks like traffic to the golden gate bridge. There was no traffic, but now it ckz loo now it looks like things are open. Theyre running a traffic break and now everybody is getting through. Bay bridge toll plaza, that is backed up for a 20 to 25minute delay and traffic is busy. Slow traffic westbound 580 near grant line. There was a crash. If you come in from tracy, that whole stretch is bad. But if you get on the freeway at livermore and west of that it is not bad at all. As a matter of fact, it looks pretty good driving from livermore to dublin, over the dublin grade in to Castro Valley it looks all right. At 7 01 lets go back to the desk.
