Summit Carbon Solutions, which hopes to build a 2,000-mile-long carbon dioxide pipeline across Minnesota, Iowa and the Dakotas, spoke about the current status of the proposed project at the May 16 Kandiyohi County Board meeting.
It is hoped the rate increase approved by the Kandiyohi County Board will allow Greater Minnesota Family Services to hire and retain staff, which will allow it to continue to provide services to children struggling with behavioral and mental health issues.
The Kandiyohi County Board has approved the creation of a local housing trust fund. Monies in the fund will be used to help make housing projects a reality.
With the help of state and federal funds, homes and businesses in Lake Elizabeth, East Lake Lillian and Harrison townships in Kandiyohi County could have broadband connections within two years.
