They also have LeBron James, who continues to show us every postseason that he remains the unquestioned best basketball player on planet earth. And so long as Anthony Davis recovers from his Achilles strain in time to get back into peak basketball shape for the playoffs, it will give the Lakers arguably the best two-way player in the NBA anchoring their top-rated defense and creating matchup nightmares on offense. If the Lakers could add one explosive rim-protector (Marc Gasol is looking a little washed for postseason basketball) and another three-and-D wing in the trade or buyout market, they'll be the favorites to repeat as champions come playoff time.
