IPOH: Efforts are being made by the Education Ministry for all teachers to be vaccinated against Covid-19 under the second phase of the national programme, says Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon.
The Deputy Education Minister said some 10% of teachers had already been vaccinated in phase one of the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme.
“There are over 500,000 teachers nationwide. We are trying really hard to get the remaining teachers to be included in the second phase, ” he told reporters after witnessing the presentation of paintings by an SMJK Yuk Choy teacher – who passed away last year – to the school yesterday.
Dr Mah said both the Health and Education ministries had a clear standard operating procedure on matters pertaining to school operations.
