FAB 1. White Comes Up Big In Bucs’ Playoff Win
When Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht selected LSU inside linebacker Devin White with the fifth overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft it raised some eyebrows around the league.
The Saints’ last hurrah is approaching – rapidly approaching.
According to
OverTheCap.com, New Orleans is $95 million over the 2021 salary cap – even if quarterback Drew Brees decides to retire.
That’s assuming that the cap will be near the projected floor of
$176 million, but sources have told PewterReport.com that instead of a near $25 million decrease in the 2021 cap due to lost stadium revenue, the league may decide to have a flat cap of $198 million again and keep it flat without any growth for the next couple of years to make up for the losses during the COVID-ridden 2020 season.
Either way, the Saints are toast.
STATEMENT 1. Brady, Bucs Come Back To Stun Falcons
There are a few certainties in life – death, taxes and the Falcons choking in the fourth quarter.
We all know about Atlanta blowing a 28-3 lead against Tom Brady and New England in Super Bowl XLI, losing 34-28 in overtime to the Patriots four years ago. Since then, the Falcons have perfected the art of the choke, blowing fourth quarter leads against the Cowboys, the Bears, the Lions, the Vikings, the Chargers and now the Bucs, who rallied from a 17-0 halftime deficit and trailing 24-7 in the third quarter to stun Atlanta, 31-27.
