Peter Dunn, 32, and Mary Yessayan, 68, are hairdressers in Melbourne. Two years ago, Peter bought Maryâs South Yarra salon, on the condition she keep working there. Itâs been on for young and old ever since.
PETER: About two years ago, I was driving home from breakfast with a friend in South Yarra when she said, âTurn left here, thereâs something I want to show you.â We pulled up outside this cute little hairdressing salon in this quiet, tree-lined side street. I already had my own salon in Richmond, which Iâve owned for three years, but I was looking around to buy my second location. As soon as I approached Maryâs place, I said, âThis is my next salon!â
