Jack Dran Lewis, 85, of Chattanooga, passed away in the early morning hours on Thursday, December 10, 2020, at home, peacefully, in the arms of his wife Jan Marie.
Jack, often known as Jay or JD, was born on Oct. 25, 1935. He was raised on Mitchell Avenue near the Industrial YMCA. Jack lived with his dear sister Dranda, his mother Rose ( Coe ), and his father Jack Dran Lewis, Sr. ( Little Bit ). Jack spent much of his young life with his Mitchell Avenue friends Floyd ( Flop ) Fuller, BH, Bill, and Robert Yerby, Bill Dunn and cousin Bill Anderson. He and his sister Dranda would often spend summers with their grandmother Dolly and step-grandfather Lee ( Lee Bug ) Brummett on their farm in Rossville.
