President David s charity walk for well-known Nottinghamshire activity centre raises more than £16,000
A caring pensioner has raised thousands of pounds for a well-known Nottinghamshire venue to enable it to continue running after a ‘very challenging year’.

David Huxley, 78, president of the board of trustees at outdoor activity centre and campsite, Walesby Forest, raised £16,200 by walking 108 miles along the Robin Hood Way to help boost the woodland accommodation’s coffers.
“I’m absolutely blown away by the generosity of everyone who donated, £16,200 is a fantastic sum that will make a real difference to Walesby Forest,” he said.
