Susan alan kraut, you have spent your professional career as an historian studying u. S. Immigration. Many americans look to the statue of libertys famous poem by emma lazarus that says give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free as the embodiment of the way we think about this country and immigration. As you look at history, does it track with the reality of how we have treated immigrants . Dr. Kraut the history of immigration in the u. S. Passed the chinese exclusion law, excluding chinese laborers from coming to the United States. We would p

We talk to the campaign hierarchy. Hierarchy. We have a conference call. It is good because we all get information in real time. We get background information. We go deeper. They get information from sources in the white house. It helps me and others be able to have the facts straight because things happen quickly. Theres a lot of distortion and political haze right now. Communication. Very, very happy on behalf of Hudson Institute to welcome senator chris murphy from connecticut to join us in a series of dial ocean that we have been having here at hudson with a range of policy makers and important contributors to the American Foreign policy debate from both parties from many different points of view.
