Edison reports 131 new COVID-19 cases over a three-day period, seven virus testing dates set for January
EDISON – Edison officials reported 131 new COVID-19 cases over a three-day period, which brings the total number of cases to 4,909, according to the Edison Office of Emergency Management.
Forty-six new COVID-19 cases were reported for Jan. 1, 47 new cases were reported for Dec. 31 and 38 new cases were reported for Dec. 30. The township has lost six more residents to COVID-19, which brings the total number of residents lost to 273 residents to COVID-19, according to Middlesex County.

Edison reports 37 new COVID-19 cases
EDISON – Edison officials reported 37 new COVID-19 cases, which brings the total number of cases to 4,730, according to the Edison Office of Emergency Management on Dec. 28.
The age range of the cases are from 17-83. The township has lost 264 residents to COVID-19, according to Middlesex County.
The Edison Health Department is holding a “Drive-Up” free rabies clinic for dogs and cats from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Jan. 23 at Firehouse 4, 848 New Dover Road in Edison.
Mayor Thomas Lankey, the Municipal Council and the Edison Recreation Department have canceled annual holiday events due to the limited amount of people allowed outdoors.
