He was said to be on his way to his farm at Egoro, Ekpoma, on Thursday, he was accosted by the gunmen, who whisked him away. A source at the university, who pleaded anonymity, stated when the news of Odia’s abduction filtered in, it threw the school into panic. “I can confirm that Prof Osadolor Odia was kidnapped today (Thursday) on his way to his farm,” the source stated. Chidi Nwabuzor, the state police command spokesman, was not reachable for comments.
