I think that this is, you know, obviously a very challenging time for our city right now with multiple departments who have been implicated in a larger investigation. Clearly, you know, charges that have been levied by the u. S. Attorney against individuals in government and outside. And it is critical that we do everything that we can to investigate fully, prevent any future fraud or corruption, and to do everything that we can to restore the public trust. This is not a time for business as usual and i think that the public is looking to us as the board of supervisors to investigate fully to make some serious changes around accountability and transparency and to do this in a way that the publi
So, yeah, i wasnt quite expecting it to happen this late, but i got home from work wenesday and i heard i might be activated, they needed an anesthesiologist at the mercy comfort. And i had a couple days to get my bags packed and get a lot of things taken care of. I was on a plane sunday morning down here. By monday, the day after and on board about 48 hours i would say. What was the feeling . Was it one of being sort of anxious . Was it also exciting in a way that youre going to be part of a massive effort . What are kind of the emotions that are all broiled in it was exciting, what you train for, what you go into the reserves for. To be deployed and im thrilled to be able to contribute.
