you had alvin bragg who campaigned on getting donald trump. you have the judge who is a literal biden donor, and at every turn, he ruled in favor of the prosecution. the real verdict is going to come on election day, and it will come from the american people, and they can't pay for their rent and put food on the table for their kids, and the border is in chaos, and we have wars around the world. joe biden can't defend. he's week, failed record, and the american people see through it, and they remember that donald trump brought peace and prosperity to this country. >> let me clarify a couple of things. as you know well, this was a state case and donald trump was indicted by a grand jury in new york. he was convicted by a jury of 12 new yorkers beyond a reasonable doubt. they didn't seek this responsibility. joe biden, as you know had nothing to do with this case, senator. the manhattan d.a.'s
the shocks are still being felt across the political landscape. on the legal front, we know his sentencing is set for the middle of july. what's your sense of how strong his case would be for appeal because certainly in some of what i read over the weekend, it's a split verdict. some say there's no chance at all. some say there might be a way to do this. what's your take? >> trump's lawyers, i think, if they hold true to form will put up a grab bag of error of the trial courts to evaluate. he never seemed to go entirely in favor of one side or the o', rather being very careful to follow the law. a great example of this is when he ruled about what prior crimes could have been used to cross-examine donald trump had he taken the witness stand. trump's lawyers will argue on appeal that the judge's rulings were far too favor b8 for the

wary of joe biden, breaking all the way his way. that said, i'm going to hold my judgments for polls that are not snapshot polls. that's right after the verdict. people may be reacting to the news. we're also five months out, as jonathan pointed out rightfully at the top of this, we have a lengthy history of people circling back to trump after egregious, seemingly crippling moments. january 6th top among them. let's wait and see and be sober about the poll numbers. i will say, look, it obviously doesn't benefit donald trump to have 34 guilty counts against him. it's not something that any candidate would want. i think he is trying to turn it into some sort of political favor. i don't think it is ignorance that other republicans are comparing it to the show trials of the stalin era. they know exactly what they're doing. they're not ignorant of it. they're trying to discredit the justice system because that's the card they have to play here. the question, joe, you raised
hostages, as well as a period of reconstruction of gaza. look, all the details can still get in the way, but do you see a way forward that somehow trust can be built from where we are now to get to those final stages or for that matter, step one? >> i think it is possible, but at this moment, as i assess the forces that push both in favor of the cease fire, and against a cease fire, i think it's, chris, about a one in three chance at best. not zero, but it's not even 50/50 quite yet. the reason is on the hamas side of the equation, they continue to resolutely demand that essentially israel pull out of gaza and leave them in control. that's a red line for essentially the entire israeli population. certainly the netanyahu
you saw donald trump just get on tiktok last week, after railing against tiktok, wanting to shut it down and riling republicans up about tiktok and china, and all of that. guess what donald trump is doing, y'all, he's doing tiktok, and the reason he's doing tiktok is he knows that that's the platform where this generation of voters that he needs, donald trump like joe biden needs to create a coalition. there aren't enough maga out there. there aren't enough to cobble together wins in wisconsin and pennsylvania, et cetera. he needs these other voters, even though they're not low information voters, more sophisticated voters, to also look at him in a favorable light. what helps that is the billionaire class. when the billionaires decide, oh, the guy that, you know, is suddenly back in favor, we're now throwing our money behind
