Oak Bluffs, Mass. | $1.695 Million
A one-bedroom, one-bathroom, seasonal waterfront cottage with a detached two-bedroom, one-bathroom guesthouse, on a 0.25-acre lot
Oak Bluffs is one of six towns on the island of Martha’s Vineyard. This three-season property is in the East Chop area, on a sliver of land between Vineyard Sound and Crystal Lake, on which it has almost 150 feet of frontage. Known as the Doll House because it is tiny, the main house is a converted early-20th-century fishing shack. It is half a mile west of the East Chop Lighthouse and a mile and a half northwest of the Flying Horses Carousel, which was acquired from Coney Island in 1884 and is the oldest platform carousel in the United States (and one of very few with a brass ring). The property is in a FEMA VE zone that requires flood insurance. The house has flooded more than once, most recently in 2018.
