Republican ron desantis has declared victory for the second time. The democrat in that race, Andrew Gillum retracted his concession earlier this week and has not conceded again vowing as of a couple hours ago to fight on. Good evening. You are right this was a fiery angry speech by abrams and puzzling as well. She acknowledged that she lost the governors race in georgia to brian kemp. Kemp got 50. 2 of the vote. He had a lead of about 50,000 votes out of 4 million cast. So kemp really just managed to avoid a run off election he had dipped under 50 that would have happened next month. He avoided that abrams tried to gather and prove she had 17,000 more votes coming. She was unable to do it. So she gives her concession speech and at the same time says its
ramaswamy could be either. i have to ask another since i have my florida friend here. why did desantis add the guy who referred to women as host bodies as his new national spokesperson, the former speaker of the florida house, jose oliva? why is he on his campaign, host bodies? the interesting thing, we faced this with donald trump as well. how much is tactic and strategy playing to this crazy right wing and how much is personal ethos. i think we all get to make a judgment. but i think on issues of race, gender, immigrants, all these hard cultural issues it s okay to assign personal biases to ron desantis and say this is your ethos. this is who you are. the people you surround yourself with reflect who you are. i think that s a judgment everybody gets to make. i think it s a personal belief system of ron desantis. it leaves it open for gillum had this moment. i m not saying he s a racist. he had a lot of lines like that. the host bodies thing leaves it open, i m not saying he doe
for president. but he endorsed gillum in 2018. that s pretty stark. everybody keeps saying there s a middle lane somewhere. it s not just about never trumpers and it s not just about always trumpers. that there are maybe trumpers, there are people who are thinking i don t know, i m not sure. like they re not necessarily gravitating toward him just because he s under fire legally and that s the kind of person that suarez thinks he has appeal to. desantis, his biggest critic is donald trump. i would say his second biggest critic is not francis suarez. his second biggest critic is gavin newsom, the california governor, who s constantly going after desantis, constantly challenging the way he governs. gavin newsom tried to challenge desantis to a debate and desantis today responded to newsom s challenge. are you going to throw your hat in the ring and challenge joe? are you going to get in and do it? or are you just going to sit on the sidelines and chirp?
