Author: A worker at the Golden Valley Menards was killed in a forklift accident Thursday. Police were called to the store at 6800 Wayzata Blvd. around 10:05 a.m., when a 911 caller said the male employee was unconscious and pinned under a forklift, the Golden Valley Police Department said. Officers determined a pallet of lumber had fallen on the forklift as the victim was operating it, killing him. In a statement shared by reporter Mary McGuire, the store said its employees were "in shock" and offered thoughts and prayers to the man's family.
