Reporter jim, this was an incident back in 2016, april of 2016, that occurred in a girls bathroom at a local high school. A student died. The judge ruled today that what happened was not a fight. This was not two students squaring off but a onesided attack. Now, the attorney for the girl that was found delinquent of homicide said it was out of character for her. She a good child. This was the first fight that shes ever gotten into in her life. Reporter john deckers is talking about his now 17yearold client found delinquent in the death of amy y joynerfrancis at Howard High School in wilmington last year. Joynerfrancis had an undiagnosed heart condition. It was ruled she died from stress after being beaten by the 17yearold who attacked her.
