When Ronnie Gorrie was a kid, she thought Aboriginal people were the majority. “I really did! I was in my own little world with my big black family,” she says. “I actually used to feel sorry for whitefellas! I used to think aww, poor fellas. I didn’t know then that I was the poor fella.”
Gorrie, a Kurnai woman, is reflecting on her childhood over lunch at Kines, a cafe in Brunswick.
