Halton police chief deeply regrets travelling to Florida for property matter over holidays

In a statement on Friday, Halton police chief Steve Tanner said My decision to travel in light of the ongoing COVID-19 situation was a poor decision, and one that I deeply regret. 680NEWS
Despite ongoing pleas from provincial and federal health officials to stay put and not travel, Halton Police Chief Stephen Tanner is in Florida for a “property matter” – a trip he says he deeply regrets.
Tanner issued a statement on Friday, acknowledging he did in fact travel to Florida at the end of December with “the knowledge and support of the Halton Police Board Chair.”
