BREAKING: Suspected Measles Outbreak Kills 42 Children In Adamawa

    At least 40 children have been reportedly killed in an outbreak of measles in Adamawa State, Northeast Nigeria.   SaharaReporters learnt that the outbreak of the disease was recorded in the Mubi North and Gombi local government areas.   Sources at the state's Primary Healthcare Development Agency told SaharaReporters that 23 deaths were recorded in Mubi, while 19 deaths were recorded in Gombi.

The Neglected Tropical Disease (NTD) Unit in Cross River’s ministry of health, in collaboration with Evidence Action, a Non Governmental Organisation (NGO), is targeting 886,292 children for the 2024 School deworming exercise in the state. The annual comprehensive state-wide, school-based deworming exercise began on Wednesday, April 24, and would be concluded on Tuesday, April 30.
