it could put you in a victorious attitude as abc s david muir reports. reporter: meet the pee wee football team getting ready for their big game in new york. the 6-year-olds and 7-year-olds and their first opponents. the banner that wouldn t break free. one after the other going down. but that s the thing about kids. they don t give up. it was just a couple of weeks ago we introduced you to hilda rodriguez. he started out young too and then made it to the minors. just this month his first ever major league at-bat. gilda rodriguez. reporter: 31 years old, now playing for the texas rangers. a moment he d been hoping for since he was 18. recruited for milwaukee but they said he wasn t ready. they sent him down to the minors. more than 1,000 games waiting for a shot at the majors. then he got it. to see my name in the starting lineup is unbelievable. reporter: but the story gets even better.
