The Town of Hamden and Mayor Curt Balzano Leng have declared April 2021 as Vaccination Month in the Town of Hamden. This proclamation coincides with the Governor s directive to expand the scope of residents eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine to all Connecticut residents ages 16 and above as of April 1st, 2021.
Mayor Leng commented, I am highly encouraging all Hamden residents, and really everyone everywhere, to make an appointment and get the COVID-19 vaccine. It s time to put this pandemic behind us and move forward. The best way to do that is to get vaccinated, and to do it quickly and early. I thank all of our partners, I thank the Governor, the President, and all of our folks on the front-lines working every day on our behalf.

Wednesday morning, the New Haven Health Department brought COVID vaccines to the door of those who need it most.
“We wanted to make sure that these particular sites were specialized to meet the needs of community members that may not be able to get out as easily,” said city Health Director Maritza Bond.
They’ve launched a series of pop-up vaccination clinics at city apartment complexes for seniors aged 75 and over, cutting out the need for online registration and transportation, and at the same time increasing access.
