We start this morning with breaking news a worker for caltrans hit and killed and now there is a possibility that the driver was drunk. We are live with the latest. Reporter yeah. We are here at the scene of that deadly accident which is 580 westbound near lake shore or lake shore boulevard. We are joined right now you may have seen one of the chp officers who has been monitoring, george smith. If you can walk us through it. Yeah. The vehicle was traveling on westbound 580. Eastlake shore. Vehicle lost control and struck a worker. Reporter as i understand it that vehicle was westbound on i 580, went across all lanes of traffic at one point. Thats correct. The vehicle lost control. Veered to the right. Struck the wall and went back, across all lanes to the left and went into the Construction Zone and struck a worker.
