Andy Beshear in a prepared statement. “Log Still Distillery’s campus embodies everything that makes the bourbon industry so important to our state. This project will provide economic growth for the surrounding area while attracting visitors from across the state and beyond our borders.

May 4, 2021 MARQUETTE / MUNISING, MI – Barbara G. Carberry, age 94, of Marquette and Munising, died Saturday morning, April 24, 2021, at Medilodge in Munising, after living a long and independent, productive, and satisfying life. Born in Munising on June 8, 1926, to Elson and Madeline (Weir) Carberry. Barbara Carberry graduated in the Class of 1944 at the Wm. G. Mather High School. She completed Registered Nurse training from the St. Joseph School of Nursing, in Bloomington, Illinois, in 1949. After working two years at the Munising Hospital, she entered into the U.S. Army Nurse Corps at as Second Lieutenant in 1951. Her career in the Army included completing basic training at San Antonio and serving three years in Hawaii. Barbara was honorably discharged from the Army as a First Lieutenant.
