The Aurora Humanitarian Initiative has announced a fundamental upgrade of its Artsakh Aid program, which from now on will be focused on assisting projects that support and facilitate the region’s long-term social development. The program, launched by Aurora in the aftermath of the war, had earlier been providing urgent humanitarian aid to the people of Artsakh on the basis of the #AraratChallenge crowdfunding initiative. In addition, the Aurora Co-Founders Noubar Afeyan, Vartan Gregorian and Ruben Vardanyan have donated on behalf of Aurora $1 million to Hayastan All Armenian Fund for Artsakh aid programs, the IDeA Foundation told Armenpress.

12:21 • 22.02.21 The Aurora Humanitarian Initiative doubled its humanitarian aid program for Artsakh, adding numerous local and international projects to the list in phase two. After the war, the people of Artsakh faced a grave humanitarian crisis that continues to unfold amidst a global pandemic, and Aurora stepped up to bring them immediate relief. Aurora’s humanitarian aid program for Artsakh has since doubled, with a total budget of $400,000 (over 208,000.000֏) allocated to support 46 projects listed below.  Among them are the initiatives run by the HALO Trust and the Near East Foundation (NEF) – with contributions to both matched – reflecting further development of Aurora’s global cooperation with international partner organizations possessing relevant expertise.

Through various donations, advertisements, and several first-in-the-history projects, his fanbases from across the globe are showcasing exemplary philanthropy and creativity this year as well. One such is his Filipino fanbase ‘KTH PHILIPPINES’ whose project titled: #ToLoveAndToVLoved is receiving major appreciation from the fans.  The project announced in early November celebrates V’s 26th birthday with bountiful donations to charities in 26 cities of the Philippines. As per their latest update, the project is almost complete as they have ticked off 22 charities on their list. Some of the organizations aided include: The Autism Society of Philippines in the city of Batangas, The House of Hope Foundation in Cagayan De Oro City, and SOS Children’s Village in Iloilo to name a few.
