It is through these Open Exhibitions new talent is discovered and it provides a platform for visual artists that wish to share their work with the world.  With the title and theme ‘Freedom’, the team is looking for works exploring ideas centred around current freedoms or lack of.

Vel expands offering with new wheel range launch | Gear

Vel has expanded its offering with the launch of a comprehensive all-new wheel range. The Vel wheel range comprises two main lines: RL and RSL. The premium RSL range (at £999) all use DT Swiss 240S hubs with straight pull Sapim CX-Ray spokes, whilst the RL wheels (from £349-£699) are built around Vel Rapid Engagement hubs and Pillar Wing spokes. Rounding out the range is an RL spec aluminium rimmed disc brake model and a pair of carbon 650b gravel wheels at both RL and RSL level. All carbon wheelsets use the same unidirectional High Modulus Toray 24/30 carbon rims. All rims are tubeless-ready and sold with tubeless rim tape installed, whilst tubeless valves are also supplied with all wheelsets.

Quay Arts Off the Rails online exhibition winner announced

THE WINNER has been announced for an online competition hosted by the Quay Arts and Isle of Wight Steam Railway to celebrate the latter's 50th anniversary of moving from Newport to Havenstreet. As part of the Off the Rails exhibition, artists were invited to submit work in response to ideas around preservation, displacement and memory. Works included painting, drawing, mixed media, digital, print, text and sculpture, and all of the artists' work can be viewed on the Quay Arts website. On Monday, February 15, Steve Miles was announced as the winner via social media and will hold a future solo show in the Clayden Gallery as a prize.

Online exhibition about Isle of Wight railways opens today | Isle of Wight County Press

Parts of the online Off the Rails exhibition at Quay Arts. RAIL enthusiasts will be pleased to hear an exhibition to celebrate 50 years of the Isle of Wight Steam Railway has gone digital. Off The Rails is now an online exhibition, organised by Quay Arts in partnership with the Havenstreet-based railway. The exhibition will take place from today (Sunday) until March 20. Expect to see artefacts, signs and memorabilia from the attraction's collection, related objects and artworks from the IW Heritage Service Collection, AJ Wells & Sons, as well as a series of works by artists and schools. The exhibition was supposed to be installed in the West Gallery and open to the public, but due to the lockdown restrictions, the organisers have digitised the works and brought the exhibition to life online.
