approach. me and the administration are legislating other priorities, chief among them, a massive infrastructure spending bill. a larger sense that negotiation around policing and racial justice can be extremely delicate, push too much and republicans may recoil, sit back too far is and problems may prove elusive. this is the president who served nearly four decades in the united states senate but on this one they are stepping back. prioritizing infrastructure which, all, you know, common sense would say both parties want to work on infrastructure, police reform is a much more contentious issue as manu laid out they can t agree on immunity. that s something that a lot of activists and a lot of the grassroots and black lives matter, they are really big on those police accountability measures. so far the white house has been stepping back, has been deferring to congress. they understand the sensitivity of these negotiations. they re happening between a few key players, they re happenin

and will any of it juice the economy? well, i do think we will see additional rate cuts from the fed. we are anticipating another 25 basis point cult at the september meeting, that being said, rates are already extremely low. so an additional 25 basis points may not be enough to buoy the economy back into 3, 4% territory. it will be enough to help stabilize the market and increase confidence in the fed s ability and willingness to step up and support the economy. as far as the fiscal side, i do think a stimulus program, a structure investment would be a very solid case to help boost the economy and certainly i do think that would be enough if we saw a sizable infrastructure spending bill, that would be enough to stave off a recession at least a quarter or two. we have to get everyone 20 agree on that. that s the hard part. we know trump is demanding u.s. companies abandon china.
