All content is coming your way a bit late today, unfortunately. Make sure to blame my boss, Brett, for that.
I’m kidding. Please, don’t do that. We don’t need to give them any more reasons to fire me. The whole thing was caused by a super annoying technical error that was completely out of our control. You can read more about it below:

Anyway, back to the hoops!
• Standing in the way of the Chicago Bulls third three-game winning streak of the season is the Toronto Raptors. Sitting 2.0 games back of Chicago for the 10 seed, tonight’s matchup feels like another must-win outing, especially when we consider Toronto’s injury report. Kyle Lowry, Fred VanVleet, and five other players have already been ruled out for tonight’s matchup. It’ll be the second time the Bulls face a Raptors team without multiple starters/key role players available.

Wendell Close to a Return, More Lonzo Talk, the Rockets-Bulls Finals that Never Was, and Other Bulls Bullets
What was my favorite part of Valentine’s Day? The injury update on Wendell Carter Jr., of course (pls don’t tell my girlfriend)!
• While things were trending in the right direction over the past few days, the Bulls surprised us with some very positive news on Sunday. Carter Jr. practiced fully for the first time since January 18th, and it appears his recovery from a severe quad contusion is way ahead of schedule. The big man was originally supposed to miss four weeks before being re-evaluated by the medical staff, but he has now made enough progress for the teams to upgrade him to questionable for tonight’s matchup against the Indiana Pacers.

He was averaging 12.8 points and 8.0 rebounds per game and shooting a solid 53.3 percent from the field (also averaging 2.4 assists this season compared to 1.2 in 2019-20). He scored in double-figures in 11 of the team’s last 12 games and recorded four double-doubles. Even better, however, was the strides he was making off the box score. Carter Jr. was setting the best screens on the team, protecting the rim adequately, and flashing some improved court vision. He played a significant role in opening up the Bulls offense, which I know may not have been obvious, but I have an icky feeling it will be over the team’s next few games.
