Espanola Regional Hospital & Health Centre has received a second supply of the COVID-19 vaccine.
The Moderna vaccine was given to residents of the Espanola Nursing Home earlier in February and yesterday health care workers identified as the highest priority received their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
Both Moderna & Pfizer are given in two separate doses a few weeks apart.
A second clinic to vaccinate the remaining frontline staff will be held Saturday, February 27th.
Dr. Andre Michon remained onsite during the process to oversee this vaccination clinic,
“The facility setup provided excellent flow and was praised by public health. It all went smoothly, as we expected. There is a great amount of preparation & organizing that goes into the planning of these clinics and all staff involved should be commended”.
