Despite recent reports suggesting John Cena is a lock for WrestleMania 37, he revealed to Sports Illustrated he will not be at WrestleMania this year due to the logistics of filming in Canada and the current COVID-19 quarantine measures in place.
“Currently, I’m in Vancouver shooting [DC Comics] Peacemaker, the series for HBO Max. Given the quarantine regulations, if I were to leave Canada, upon return I would have to quarantine for another two weeks. Essentially, that would shut production down.
Strictly based on the letter of the law right now, there is no logistical way I can be [at WrestleMania]. We film now until July.

As seen during Sunday's WWE Royal Rumble 2021 pay-per-view, WWE Hall of Famer Edge won the Men’s Royal Rumble match from the #1 entrant spot.
Following the match, Edge was interviewed backstage in which he expressed what the match win meant to him.
He said if his comeback was pitched to Hollywood for a movie then it wouldn't be made because they would say it's not realistic. He feels the whole thing is a dream that he will wake up from.
He said he is just going to stop and try and enjoy the moment of being back on top.

We go back to the ring and Mike Rome goes over the rules for the Women’s Royal Rumble. Out first comes Bayley at #1. Bayley stops on the ramp and the pyro goes off. Tom Phillips is at ringside with Byron Saxton and WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler for this match. Bayley has “Cole” shaved into the back of her head and says something about challenging Michael Cole if she wins. Out next comes Naomi in the #2 spot, making her return.
Naomi taunts Bayley as she hits the ring but Bayley isn’t impressed. Bayley talks some trash in the middle of the ring. Naomi catches a kick and unloads with forearms. They run the ropes and Naomi takes her down with a hurricanrana. Naomi with a big kick to the face. Naomi mounts Bayley in the corner but Bayley turns it around. Naomi with a springboard kick and a Rear View. Naomi tries to dump Bayley but she hangs on. Bayley fights back in and clotheslines her. Bayley tries to dump Naomi as the timer starts up. The #3 entrant is Bianca Belair to a pop.

As seen during Sunday's WWE Royal Rumble, Bianca Belair eliminated Rhea Ripley to win the Women’s Royal Rumble 2021 match. She will now get a Women’s Title match of her choosing at WrestleMania 37.
Following the match, Bianca received a standing ovation backstage and embraced with her husband, former Tag Team Champion Montez Ford.

WWE Royal Rumble: Bianca Belair Wins The Women's Royal Rumble Match

The Royal Rumblebegan with Drew McIntyre and Sasha Banks retaining their respective belts against Goldberg and Carmella respectively, but the annual event for the WWE was far from over following these two matches as the Women's Royal Rumble Match ended with Bianca Belair crawling her way to the top as the victor. Needless to say, the upcoming Wrestlemania has been made that much more interesting thanks to Bianca's big win here in the 2021 Royal Rumble!
The match began with Bayley and Naomi being the first two entrants, landing blows on one another and the ring filling up fast as the female professional wrestlers hung on for dear life until Shotzi Blackheart of NXT was the first participant to be eliminated. The rumble itself saw the return of old favorites such as Victoria, Alicia Fox, Jillian Hall, Mickie James, Torie Wilson, and other surprise wrestlers that haven't been seen in the ring for some time. With eliminations far and few between in the earlier part of the Royal Rumble match, the squared circle was fit to bursting with superstars from the WWE and NXT!

During a backstage interview after the Royal Rumble match, Christian noted it was surreal to return to the ring and didn’t know what to expect.
He added the when he got hit for the first time he felt like he was home and ready to go.
Christian said he didn’t tell anyone backstage that he was going to be a surprise entrant in the Rumble match.
On Edge winning the Rumble match, he said:
"If I couldn’t win it, I’m glad he did. I’ll put it that way."

Feb. 1 (UPI) -- WWE hosted the 34th annual Royal Rumble Sunday to determine who is going to the main event at WrestleMania.
The Royal Rumble featured the Men's and Women's Royal Rumble match where 30 superstars from Raw, SmackDown and NXT competed against each other. A competitor is eliminated if they are thrown over the top rope and both feet touch the floor. The last one remaining earns a world championship, main event match at WrestleMania.

Edge, who was returning for the first time since he was injured during his match with Randy Orton in June, kicked off the Men's Royal Rumble match at No. 1. The Viper was right behind him at No. 2.

During last night's WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view, Becky Lynch posted a photo of the "Gorilla position" curtain which had fans excited that she would be making her return during the women's Rumble match.
It wasn't to be.
Becky was just trolling!
