Speaking to TNM, a complainant said that repertory member Sanjit had groped him in the green room on multiple occasions. He had earlier blocked Sanjit on his phone after he sent sexually suggestive messages during the lockdown.
A case was filed against Hari Padman today, days after around 200 students, both women and men, started protesting, alleging sexual harassment, body-shaming and verbal abuse by this faculty member and three repertory artists.
The protest, in which over 200 students participated, was called off past midnight Friday following promises of action from the police and the Tamil Nadu Women’s Commission.
