Van driver’s injuries not considered life-threatening By Dan Schere | Photo from Pete Piringer via Twitter A man was seriously injured Thursday afternoon when his motorcycle and a van crashed in Gaithersburg, Montgomery County police said. Kereem Cumberbatch, 31, of Frederick, was riding a 2020 Harley-Davidson motorcycle south on Shady Grove Road. He was approaching Epsilon Drive at around 3:47 p.m., police said in a press release. Kam Wong, 71, of Gaithersburg, driving a 2018 Ford Transit van, tried to turn left from northbound Shady Grove Road onto Epsilon Drive, police said. Police said the motorcycle and the van crashed in the intersection. Cumberbatch was taken to a hospital with injuries considered life-threatening, police said.
