At issue is a request from a New York property company to change the zoning to allow construction of a larger gas station where one currently sits at 1 Colchester Ave. The existing station is from the 1940s.

At issue is a proposal to change the zoning on a parcel of land at the intersection of Main Street and Route 16 to allow expansion of an existing gas station/convenience store. Some residents questioned whether there is need for what neighbor Kate Avery described as the “mega” station in a residential neighborhood.
