Science, Technology and Innovation Minister and Co-Chairman of the Covid-19 Vaccine Supplies Access Guarantee Special Committee (JKJAV) Khairy Jamaluddin wrote in a statement that the primary goal of the national vaccination program would be to protect high-risk individuals like frontline healthcare and security workers before moving on to the elderly and people with chronic illness.
He explained that healthy adults under the age of 60 can expect to be vaccinated, at the earliest, by the third quarter of the year in order for the country to achieve herd immunity against Covid-19.
