Match report: LFC Women 3-0 London Bees
Chris Shaw Liverpool FC Women claimed an impressive first win of 2021 by beating London Bees 3-0 in their FA Women s Championship meeting on Sunday.
Becky Jane punctuated the Reds’ attacking beginning to the clash at Prenton Park with a back-post finish that was the difference between the sides in the first half.
The visitors went close on several occasions in the second period, hitting the woodwork too, but late efforts from Ceri Holland and substitute Amy Rodgers gave the hosts victory.
Liverpool started with intent, moving the ball forward at every opportunity and Jane – deployed in an advanced position on the right flank – was at the heart of their early progress.

It was a great three points away from home for us at London City Lionesses last weekend. It was a tough challenge. I think London City Lionesses are certainly a good team and I do think that they will get more points in this league going forwards and I hope they can take positives from their performance against us. The Liverpool Women traveled to London today to take on the London City Lionesses. The Reds were opening the game in third place in the table, hoping to keep pace with Leicester City and Durham. Unfortunately, it was one of those games where it was not being streamed live, so we will have take some.liberties with the write up.
With the team hard hit injuries (it is a Liverpool club after all), there weren’t too many questions about the starting line up.
