reproting live in studio, bria bell abc 9 news. jenna: a santee man who was the subject of a manhunt this week has died. the f-b-i confirms david hoffman shot himself while police were trying to take him into custody yesterday on the santee reservation. jenna: f-b-i and knox county officials say the 25-year- old died from a self inflicted gunshot wound. officials says no law enforcement officers fired their weapons during the encounter. hoffman had been on the run from authorities since tuesday when he disarmed an officer in niobrara, threatened him with the weapon. and then fled. hoffman s body will undergo and autopy and the gun he used is being tested, as well. tim: all miners stuck in an underground elevator at a central new york salt mine ovnight have been rescued. the miners were beginning their shift around 10 wednesday night when that elevator became stuck. emergency workers made contact with the miners by radio before the rescue effort began. crews managed to blanket
