LEWISTOWN One man has been arrested for shooting another man several times Wednesday night on Valley Street in Lewistown Borough, according to a report from Lewistown Police Department.
Police said 21-year-old Victor Guzman-Ortega, of Lewistown, shot 20-year-old Trevor T. Taylor, also of Lewistown, after the two had been fighting at around 8:17 p.m. near the intersection of North Spruce and Valley streets.
Police said Taylor was taken to Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital and then flown to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville with life-threatening injuries after Guzman-Ortega shot him multiple times, resulting in several gunshot wounds.
Police have stated there is no further danger to the public related to this incident and is asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has video surveillance footage of the incident to call (717) 248-6716 or (717) 248-9607.

Three members of a Lewistown family sentenced for meth trafficking

GREAT FALLS â Three members of a Lewistown family were sentenced in federal court in Great Falls on Thursday for their roles in a methamphetamine trafficking scheme in which meth was sent from California to Lewistown for distribution.
Acting U.S. Attorney Leif Johnson said in a news release that Kathleen Elizabeth Francis of Lewistown, 54 years old, was sentenced to 42 months in prison and four years of supervised release. Her daughter, Amber Rachelle Carr of Lewistown, 36, was sentenced to 20 months in prison and four years of supervised release. Francisâ mother, Shirley Ann Adcock of Springfield, Michigan, 73, formerly of California, was sentenced to eight months in prison and three years of supervised release.
