A pair of DJs going to the Final Four after coming together at North Carolina State

DJ Horne got a chance to play at home when he transferred to North Carolina State this season after starting for two other schools. Big body DJ Burns Jr. wasn't really sure how things were going to play out when he put his name into the transfer portal two years ago. Now the two DJs are going to the Final Four together with a Wolfpack team that hadn't been there in four decades.

Legislation Filed in Illinois Would Help Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation Reclaim Stolen Land

Illinois state legislators joined the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation on Thursday in support of a bill that would transfer a state park in DeKalb County back to the tribal nation on whose historic reservation the park currently sits. State Rep. Mark Walker (D-Arlington Heights) filed House Bill 4718, giving the state of Illinois the opportunity to right historical wrongs and transfer ownership of the Shabbona Lake State Park – roughly 1,500 acres in total – to Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation.

No. 23 Indiana State falls 80-67 to Illinois State in first game in 45 years as ranked team

Johnny Kinziger scored a career-high 31 points and Illinois State handed No. 23 Indiana State an 80-67 loss on Tuesday night in the Sycamores' first outing as a ranked team since Larry Bird led them to the national title game 45 years ago. Myles Foster had 19 points and 12 rebounds for the Redbirds (12-14, 6-9 Missouri Valley Conference), who stopped a three-game skid, won for just the fourth time since Dec. 21 and silenced the crowd at Hulman Center. Indiana State's nine-game winning streak was snapped.
